Diet or× Exercise for Weight Loss

Combine Exercise With Diet for Long Lasting Weight Loss

Whether the goal is to look and feel better or to improve health, many people want to lose weight.

Until someone invents a magic pill, healthy weight loss comes from changing diet and exercise habits.

But what happens when one diets without exercising, or exercises without eating well?
Is dieting or exercising alone enough to lose weight and to keep it off?

If you only exercise...

In theory, exercising alone should cause weight loss.

After all, exercise burns calories, and burning more calories than one uses results in weight loss.
In real life however, this is not always the case.

One reason that exercising alone does not usually shed pounds is that exercisers compensate for the calories burned by eating more.

The amount of calories burned during exercise is often less than we think.

This problem is augmented when one uses the calorie counter on cardio machines to estimate calories burned, as the machine often overestimates.

If working out is used to justify a few extra treats, the result is usually weight maintenance or weight gain.

It takes a lot longer to burn off the calories than it does to consume them! Also, regular exercise can increase appetite, which leads to eating more.

If the increased food consumption more than makes up for the calories burned in a workout, the scale will creep up.

If you only diet...

Although making changes to diet can result in weight loss, there are some negative effects of dieting alone. One downside of calorie restriction is a slower metabolism, which means that the body burns fewer calories per day.

This slow down, causes a plateau in weight loss, even though the caloric intake stays constant. Also, diets are often unrealistic.

While some people may be able to restrict certain foods for a few months, most will not be able to maintain it for the long term. Because diets slow the metabolism, most dieters gain back the weight lost, plus more, when they get off the diet.

Finally, dieting alone causes loss of muscle as well as body fat. Even thought the scale shows a change, the percentage of body fat may remain the same.

If you exercise and follow a healthy diet...

It is no surprise that combining a healthy diet with regular exercise is the most effective way to lose the weight and keep it off.

Exercise helps to speed up, or at least maintain the metabolic rate despite a reduced caloric intake. Exercise also reduces the amount of muscle mass lost during dieting.

This means that when the scale shows a drop in weight, the weight lost is likely body fat. Most importantly, people who exercise are more likely to keep the weight off.

Even if exercise does not result in weight loss, it is a key component in maintaining one's new figure.

B12 Shots for Weight Loss - What Are the× Benefits and Side Effects?

For anyone who wants to shed excess weight, the most tried and true method is a proper diet and frequent exercise.

Nevertheless, there are some ways to enhance your likelihood of reducing your weight.

One of those ways is B12 injections which has shown to improve a persons overall health.

There are those that have a B12 deficiency and require the shot, but that doesn't mean its right for you.
We'll discuss what exactly the B12 shot for weight loss is and what benefits or side effects may result from taking this shot.

What exactly is B12?

B12 is a nutrient you could acquire by eating fish like bass or salmon, as well as clams and lean meats.

Taking B12 may also increase a persons metabolic rate which increases energy levels. Increasing your metabolic rate not only helps you burn calories even while resting, but stops the extra consumed fats from just being stored; more will be used up to produce the energy.

Even though there is a lack of clinical proof that B12 injections for weight loss work, some have reported that taking B12 helps in controlling weight gain.

Regardless of the advantages or disadvantages of B12, experts agree that the most efficient way to get vitamin b12 into the blood stream is by taking a b12 shot.
Since B12 helps in making your metabolic rate work appropriately, it could be one factor in the success of every fat reduction plan.

Ads by OffersWizard×Some doctors would have you taking B12 shots for weight loss once a week, but there are things to consider.

Price is one thing to consider because the shots run upwards of $25 dollars per shot.
Now, if you need 1 to 2 shots a week that might be more than you are willing to pay.

Once taking the shot if you see positive gains in your energy levels and just overall feeling good, then you could opt to have the shot twice a week or twice a month.
As with any medically related treatment, your doctor will advise you best.

B12 shots for weight loss can also produce weight loss results, because often they contain some sort of fat burner.
These shots may contain a lipotropic complex which combines natural herbs, multiple vitamins and minerals.
This lipotropic complex supports healthy liver organ function and will help the liver manage fats. These fats are broken down and then move throughout the bloodstream where they may be used to produce energy.

B12 Shots Benefits

The benefits of B12 shots may be reduced stress levels, skin condition improvements, energy level increases, and possible weight loss.
If you're in good shape, feel healthy and balancedandhave no lack of energythen taking the B12 effects may be minimal.
However if you are feeling run down, on the go all the time then a B12 shot may just be the thing to help give you a boost.
Having a B12 deficiency though and taking the shot, may improve your bodies response to any weight loss program and increase your energy overall.

B12 Shots Side Effects

As with any shot, medicine or product you take, there can be side effects.
Not all people will experience these side effects, but there are symptomsthatyou should be aware of.
If you decide to take the B12 shot and experience any of these side effects, contact your physician immediately.

These may include:

Moderate diarrhea
Upset stomach
Nausea or vomiting
Inflammation at the area of injection
Headache
Tightness within the chest area or raised heartrate
Muscle soreness, weakness, cramping pains
Regular urination
Trouble breathing or swallowing
A sensation of excessive exhaustion or tiredness
Swollen hands, lower legs, arms, ankles or feet
Hives
Itchiness
Visible rash on the skin surface

If considering b12 injections for weight loss just understand it's not the only answer.

Proper diet, exercise and learning about nutrition all will benefit you in the long term.

Like some, you may have a B12 deficiency and require the shot, but your doctor will examine your overall health and help you decide.

Weight Loss Tips For Beginners

Simply put, when you burn more calories than you put into your body, you lose weight.
Many weight loss programs claim to offer the best weight loss plan by providing dieters with special meals, weight loss shakes and high-fiber snacks.
However, you can create your own weight loss plan without having to spend money on items that may or may not work for you.
Just by following healthy habits regarding eating, exercising and getting plenty of sleep, you can alter your metabolic rate and start diminishing those stores of fat that accumulate before we know it around the waist, thighs and stomach.Tips to help lose weight include:
Eat egg whites including the yolks for a good source of protein and healthy fats. Begin meals by eating the protein portion first.
Snack on almonds, walnuts, cashews or cottage cheese. Don't skip breakfast--include fiber, oats, fruit or a weight loss shake to prevent a mid-morning feeding frenzy.
Use spices or salt substitute to flavor food. Eat yogurt instead of ice cream.
 Chew your food slowly.
Eating fast fills you up too quickly, which makes your feel hungry sooner. Don't eat anything too heavy several hours before going to bed.
Metabolism slows down during sleep, which means calories burn as a reduced rate.
Average rate of calories burned during sleep is around 50 to 60 calories per hour.
Always take the stairs instead of the elevator.
Deliberately park farther away from the grocery store or your place of employment. Cut back on TV time--take a walk in the evening and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
 Jump rope while watching television.
While sitting at your desk at work, remain mindful of your posture (sit up straight), contract your stomach muscles and every half hour let yourself have a good stretch.
Find a household chore to do everyday--clean out cupboards, mop floors, paint a room.
Exercising not only promotes weight loss but also enhances the immune system, fights osteoporosis and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.
As a vital part of the best weight loss plan, physical activity cannot be emphasized enough.

More Weight Loss Tips: Think about purchasing a calorie counter book that contains thousands of food items and their calorie amounts per serving.
Most people don't realize that while one slice of bacon has only 30 calories, 70 percent of those calories come from fat.
That means if you eat three medium-sliced pieces of bacon, you are putting about 12 grams of fat into your blood, with four grams of that fat being the saturated kind promotes heart disease.
Drink several glasses of water each day while on a weight loss program.
When you do not drink enough water, the kidneys must work harder to eliminate toxins from the body.
This affects processing of fat into fuel by the liver, since the liver must now assist the kidneys in regulating waste expulsion.
Because the liver cannot function properly, fat is not metabolized as efficiently, which can produce accumulation of excess fat stores and, unfortunately, weight gain.Write down everything you eat.
Although this may sound somewhat time-consuming, try doing it for one week.
You might be surprised, as many other dieters are, at how much or what you eat without realizing it.
If you go from eating three square meals a day to five or six smaller meals a day--which is advisable when trying to lose weight--the tendency to snack produces a "I'm not really eating much so this little bit of cake won't hurt" effect that may add several hundred more calories a day to your diet.

No More Reading On Weight Loss

I had searched the internet for more than 4 hours.

I was looking for some easy weight loss tips but believe me; I found nothing except spamming.

Same junk content is repeated over and over.

I am sick of that repetition.

Finally, I decided that I would never read a single article on weight loss.

No more reading on weight loss!

What is the use of all that reading? Not all those informative weight loss articles can help me achieve my goals. It was enough. I thought I should accept myself the way I was.

I gave up!

It was my experience when I was trying to lose my first five pounds.

Nothing was working for me and I gave up.

Guess what?

It worked for me. I became my tutor. I planned my diet plans. I wrote my exercise routines. I began to love myself in the real sense of the word. Being overweight, does not mean that you should hate yourself.

I followed some simple fitness tips and in 6 months; I lost 8 pounds.

Within a year, my BMI score became 19.3 and I have still maintained my weight.

It is important!

Try to maintain your weight once you have achieved your weight loss goals. I know you are not looking to lose 8 pounds in 6 months. You want quick results. But it is hard to maintain your weight.

In my 2 years experience with weight loss industry, I found two issues.

It promises too much.

They claim that you can lose 3 pounds with a body wrap session or lose 10 pounds with a 3-day diet plan.
It is obvious that this is spamming. It is impossible to lose 10 pounds in 3 days and if you can do it; it is dangerous for your health

It is impossible to follow the advice. You can read information like "follow this 3 day diet plan, walk for 40 minutes, and do cardiovascular exercise for 1 hour.

" By following this tip, you can easily lose 2 to 3 pounds in a day but what about your health? You will gain these pounds back within a week.

You can see the information presented is not practical. We are dealing with our physical body.

What is the use of all those quick diet plans and fancy promises?

If you are facing these problems like me, I want to share some simple health tips with you. These are easy tips. I have used them and you are well aware of the results I got.

3 easy health tips

Take it easy

Stop being overwhelmed. Take it easy, friend. Weight loss is a problem but do not get tense about it.

 Love yourself.
Stop worrying about those extra pounds. I encourage you to stop reading weight loss articles and other health information.

Design your own path

Be creative.

You have read enough on weight loss. Believe me, now you are a weight loss expert. Follow your own advice and see the results for yourself.

Love yourself

Stop being hard on yourself. It is not your fault that you are fat. Believe me, emotional embarrassment is a major weight loss issue for most people.

Please love yourself. Try to understand yourself and your uniqueness.

Use these 3 simple health tips.

Remove the emotional burden, stop traditional dieting, walk a little, and be happy.
You are on a very good path to a long and healthy life.

The Top Weight Loss Program Is a Healthy Weight Loss Program - Here's Why

So many people are looking for the top weight loss program.

They are sick of being overweight or even obese.
However, many of them are aware that some weight loss programs are downright unhealthy. So, they are also seeking a healthy weight loss program.
What very few people realize is that the top weight loss program is, indeed, a healthy weight loss program.
It is really possible to lose weight in a healthy way and, in addition, this can be permanent weight loss.

There are many weight loss programs out there.
Most common is counting calories --- without paying too much attention to what you eat or, at most, keeping an eye on the USDA "food pyramid."

In this case, you are apt to feel hungry all the time.
This makes sense; a person following this diet might actually be starving himself.
So, ultimately, he will give up and go back to eating what he did in the past (I will note as an aside that it is no fun counting calories either).
Then, there is the high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet advocated by Dr. Atkins and others.
In this diet you essentially trade one problem food (sweets and starches) for another (fats).
This does not make sense at all from the health point of view given the wealth of information available on the adverse effect of saturated fats on the cardiovascular system.

In addition, throwing out carbs also implies throwing out all the vitamins, minerals, and trace nutrients associated with those delicious fruits you are avoiding.

So, what is the solution? The Paleo Diet! I will confess that I hate this name as it is not a diet; it is a lifestyle.

And, lifestyles are what you should be looking for if you are seeking long-range health.

Briefly, the Paleo Diet involves trying to eat the food that our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate thousands of years ago.
Our genetic make-up has not changed since then and, if we would like to enjoy the health they did (Yes, it is a fact that these people were very healthy!), we should be eating what they ate.

What did these people eat? Very simple: fruit, vegetables, and fish or lean meat (Occasionally, I suspect that they ate some eggs or honey for a special treat!).

Does this mean that we have to live like cavemen? Not at all! Meals centered on these foods can be just as tasty and satisfying as meals prepared using conventional foods.

Did you catch the fact that this diet does not include grains and dairy products? That is correct. And, no matter what that food pyramid says, they are not essential to your health.

They were not a part of the diet of our Paleolithic ancestors and are not eaten by the few hunter-gatherer societies that survive today.
I spent many years living in the Pacific islands and these food items are not a part of the traditional diet of people living there.
And, I believe that island people are certainly as healthy and attractive as people anywhere else on this planet of ours.

What can you expect to happen if you adopt the Paleo Diet lifestyle? First, you will lose weight --- perhaps a lot at first as many people experience rapid water loss when they start this program. Then, slowly but surely, you will lose pounds as your weight approaches the ideal for your body type. This is not a quick fix.
It is a permanent solution that will take a while to happen.
But, it will. That is the most important thing. Second, your health will improve. But that is the subject matter for another article!

The Paleo Diet is the natural diet for human beings.
It has been tested in nature's laboratory for thousands of years. People --- including me --- that use it feel good and are able to keep their bodyweight where it belongs.

If you are overweight and are looking for the top weight loss program, look no further as it turns out that the Paleo Diet lifestyle is a healthy weight loss program too.

He has excelled in weight lifting and distance running and has done well at a number of other sports including rowing, swimming, and bicycling.

Weight Loss and Side Effects of CLA

Does Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) have any bad side effects? Does it work for weight loss? CLA has been sold for many years as a fat loss supplement based on the weight loss and body composition (i.e. losing fat and gaining muscle) changes seen in studies using mice and rats.

Does is work in humans? More recently research in humans has shown that it can be used to increase fat loss.

In this article we'll look at some of the benefits of CLA as well as some of the potential side effects. In addition to weight loss studies there have been (and are currently) countless studies looking at the effects of this fatty acid on reducing inflammation, fighting cancer, and in the treatment of other conditions.

Ever since 2007, there has been an increase in use of CLA as a fat burner.

This is due to the release of a meta-analysis (basically a review of several scientific studies) published in the May 2007 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition which concluded that 3.2g/d of CLA can induce moderate weight loss in humans.
CLA is an attractive weight loss supplement and many people use conjugated linoleic acid as part of a fat loss supplement stack (i.e. a group of compounds and herbs taken together to maximize effects) because unlike many other weight loss supplements it is not a stimulant and you don't suffer the nasty side effects of getting the jitters, increased heart rate, or worse - increased blood pressure.
This is especially as there are not many effective options for non-stimulant fat burners on the market.

Let's now look at two more studies that involve people taking supplemental CLA.
The first study was again published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
The researchers found that when people supplemented with 3.2 g/d of CLA (this is generally the recommended dosage for weight loss purposes) they burned more fat and more specifically they burned more fat when they slept!

This is true.

Not only did the subjects that took CLA burned more fat when they slept, the fat they burned was NOT fat they had recently eaten; it was actually stored body fat that they were burning.

This study gets even better as the researchers reported that the individuals that took CLA had decreased urinary protein losses.
In other words the CLA group had improved protein retention when they slept. These are really interesting findings. If I owned a supplement company that sold large dosages of CLA - my new headline would be "CLA - Scientifically Proven to Burn More Body Fat and Build Muscle while you SLEEP."

So CLA can work for weight loss but are there any side effects? Again in 2007, another study was published that looked at the effects of CLA on weight loss, this time in obese people.
In this study, the participants were given CLA dosages of 0, 3.2, or 6.4 grams/day.

At the end of the study the group that received the 6.4 g/d of CLA experienced a significant increase in a compound called C - reactive protein or CRP for short.
C - reactive protein is a protein that is released from your liver. It is commonly used in the medical field as a general marker of the level of inflammation in your body - higher CRP means more inflammation.

While there was an increase in CRP, it was truly not clinically significant as CRP levels remained below what is considered normal (Normal CRP levels are 3mg/dL).
It is also important to see realize that the people in the study that had increased CRP as a result of taking a CLA supplement were taking 2x the 'recommended' dose for weight loss and also that people that obese normally have higher CRP levels (this might have come into play here as well).
The group that only took 3.2 grams per day did not have any increase in their CRP levels.
Based on the findings in the studies that I've mentioned above and the review of studies from article in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition is seems that 3.2 g/d of CLA can be safely taken to boost weight loss.

The next question that you should ask is...

What do you do with these findings? At the moment not a whole lot... CLA is a nice add-on to a fat loss program but "add-on" is the key word.

CLA is perfect for nutrient stacking as combing these effects with a supplement like green tea extract (which has also been shown to boost weight loss), increased non-exercise physical activity, and multiple meals throughout the day will surely boost your fat loss.

If you aren't spot on with your nutrition, training with weights 3x per week, and doing 3 interval sessions per week then don't waste your time with CLA and focus on the more important things.

5 Tips To Help You To Stay With Your Weight Loss Diet Plan

The blueprint for a successful weight loss diet is really very simple.

It's a straightforward system of fueling your body with the correct foods, not overindulging, and then using physical movement to burn up the fuel it's been fed.

So why is it that dieting is hard for virtually everyone? In fact, the mere mention of the word "diet" can make you feel a little hungrier!

These 5 easy strategies will help you to stay motivated to keep with your weight loss plans.

1. Have A Different Outlook.

Ads by OffersWizard×One of the issues with a weight loss diet is that people often see it as a jail sentence.

To prevent this, take into consideration what you are really trying to achieve.

In general, you probably want to have a healthier way of life. You have to make your diet do the job in a manner that you can stay with it. If it's too hard to follow and you never let yourself to have the things you like, you will not be able to stick with it.

2. Set Small Goals.

Establishing small objectives will help you to keep track of your progress stay motivated.
On most weight loss plans, people set themselves goals.

But when the weighing scales don't provide the answers they want, they quit. Instead, set goals relevant to your diet plan.

For instance, set a goal to eat your vegetables and fruits each day and drink all of your water.

When you complete those goals, you can congratulate yourself for a job well done.

3. Allow Yourself A Break.

There will be times when you don't stick with your diet plan. Rather than using that as a reason to give up on your diet entirely, give yourself a break.

Nobody will eat the perfect things every single day of their life. You need to let yourself have a few treats here and there.

If you do eat too much at one mealtime, just leave it at that. Make the next meal better.

4. Find A Diet Partner.

Working with a partner can help your weight loss diet plan as you can share your pitfalls as well as your successes.
You can have someone with whom to be accountable.

You can also have someone to bounce ideas off of. You can swap recipes, trade meal ideas, and help each other to enjoy the process of dieting instead of dreading it.

5. Eat Slower.

Research has found that eating your meals at a slower rate makes you eat less. When you eat slowly, you feel full with less food.
Use eating times as family times. When you are chattering to your family, you can't have food in your mouth!

How a Positive Mental Attitude Helps Weight Loss

Believe it, and you can achieve it.Attitude is altitude.

Common phrases that we sometimes take for granted without really thinking about them but really, when it comes to losing weight, as with so many other things in life, your attitude really is everything.

These mantras are frequently bandied about by inspiration gurus and self-help professionals, and they have actually, believe it or not, been shown to have a definite positive impact for many people.

But can a positive attitude be the cornerstone for dieting success? Many health and fitness professionals believe it is not only helpful, but critical in achieving weight loss and maintaining a healthy body weight.

The thought process goes like this. Negative thinking can lead to self-defeating behaviors. This gives you little excuses to cheat on your diet, skip a workout session, and care little in the short term about your long term weight loss efforts. Over time this can lead to weight gain instead of weight loss, an individual then feels frustrated, and self-esteem drops. This leads to more negative attitudes, which then create a self-fulfilling and endless cycle of weight loss failure.

Donald Hensrud, M.D.,  and he believes that mentally setting yourself up for success in your dieting efforts is vitally important.

That is because staying positive will help you through the stumbles and falls you will definitely make in your weight loss experience. No one is perfect, so those fried food dinners and ice cream desserts are going to happen.

But positivity and the right mental attitude can get you over those speed bumps and back on track towards your weight loss goals.

Did you know that major studies have shown low self-esteem and a negative self image can rob you of energy, give you a feeling of powerlessness, can actually cause depression and contribute to a lack of motivation?

Negativity even causes a significant negative physiological affect to take place in your body, and this can actually contribute to weight gain and other negative physical characteristics.

However, having a positive attitude means being realistic as well.

To achieve your personal weight loss goals, you really do need to set achievable benchmarks.
Otherwise you will probably fail and that will simply have the effect of dampening your spirits and lowering your enthusiasm even more.

Conversely, you need to reward yourself when you hit significant levels of weight loss, so remember to keep a daily journal for both your positive and negative thoughts regarding your dieting efforts, and make a conscience effort every day to transform the way you think.

Reward your own success.

You should also give yourself a mental pat on the back for even succeeding in a small way.

For example, if you drink coffee today without sugar, or pass on that second slice of pizza, then congratulate yourself out loud.

By reaffirming positive behavior and keeping a positive attitude, you will achieve your diet and lifestyle goals, and possibly quicker than you ever thought possible.

Benefits of All Natural Weight Loss Supplements

People all around the globe want to have a flat stomach desperately, and this is why they are increasingly opting for all natural weight loss supplements that promise quick results without any side effects.

Medical research suggests that the topmost method to attain flat stomach is by restricting the calorie intake and increasing the physical activity. Turning to diet pills that artificially stimulate the metabolism to lose weight can do more harm than good. So, always trust only natural supplements.

There are several natural ingredients used in natural weight loss supplements, so when buying one you must look for them. Take a look.

• Green tea extract is commonly used in herbal supplements as it helps to speed up your metabolism and burn fat. It is a powerful supplement to kick-start slow metabolism. According to research, green tea can increase burning of calories while you are resting by 4%.

• Another natural ingredient is Hoodia that is a natural appetite suppressant.

• Glucomannan (extracted from the Konjac plant) is yet another ingredient that slows the rate of absorption of carbohydrates and also works as an appetite suppressant.

• The two effective natural supplements that are used to reduce blood sugar are l-arabinose and chromium. Both help decrease blood sugar by reducing sugar enzyme action and removing glucose from the blood by shifting it to the cells where it is transformed to energy.

• More natural supplements that help lose weight are white bean extract and irvingia. They help in managing diabetes and reducing weight.

Turning to dangerous fad diets and pills to lose weight can result in serious consequences.

Asian Weight Loss Methods - Tips and Tricks

Asian weight loss methods are such an advantage in the battle for a hot sexy body that it's surprising more people aren't aware of them.

Asian women have been able to lose weight quickly for generations without having to kill themselves working out or going hungry for days, even just after giving birth! Today we're going to look at a secret  weight loss method you can use to win the battle of the bulge!

Asian Weight Loss Methods - Tips and Tricks

This goes without saying, but it's worth mentioning briefly: Asian women don't find their size-2 figures in a bottle of pills, or in a potentially dangerous medical procedure, or by going on a "cleanse" diet where we're drinking lemon water for two weeks!

Stay away from any of these "hot new trends", as 99% of the time it's a nonsense scam designed to take your money and potentially cause you health problems down the road.

You don't need these shortcuts, it's easy to get the body you want just by following a few routines  women do as a part of their normal routine.

Here's one of my favorites:

The Magic Mushroom Fungus - Cordyceps Sinensis

My Chinese Mother used to feed my sisters and I this strange thing she called a mushroom when we were kids, and I had no clue why until many years later when she told me it was actually a trick to keep us healthy and thin!

Now I understand why after reading the scientific research papers on the mushroom, which is officially called "cordyceps sinensis", as the results it provides are impressive in terms of weight loss and health.

Cordyseps sinensis is a "superfood", which means it does many positive things within the body from one serving. It's not naturally present in or Europe, which is likely why few have heard of it prior to the past few years. Now it's available from organic health food stores and even in capsules for anyone to enjoy and benefit from.

To sum up the main weight loss method behind eating cordyceps sinensis revolves around what happens when people consume it. In independent tests, people who had 10g of the mushroom at every meal (a little over a tablespoon) ate 35% fewer calories than the same-age group that wasn't given the mushroom.

More amazing, the test group that ate the mushroom experienced a body fat reduction of 5%, even though they were on the same basic non-exercise routine as the group not eating it! This translates into approximately 5-10 pounds of pure fat lost per person, just by sprinkling some of the extract on their meals...impressive isn't it?

No wonder my made us eat it, haha.

Luckily cordyceps sinensis is widely available now, if there isn't any at your local food stores try the internet for ordering, just make sure it has "organic" on the label and that it is also "100% natural cordycepts sienensis" on the label.

5 Weight Loss Strategies For Busy Mums

If you want to "jump start" your body's fat burning potential - you have to boost your metabolism.

To do this, follow these five tips to improve your workouts. You can test every single one of these tips, or just a few - whichever you choose, beware; the result may be admiring second glances and the need to pull those 'skinny jeans' out of the wardrobe.

1. Work more than one muscle at a time

Ads by OffersWizard×When you're focussing on fat loss, the big mistake most mums make is to constantly focus on exercises that are aimed at toning or shaping their bodies.

Instead, you should focus on the exercises that give you the most bang for your buck.
By this, I mean exercises that require more than one muscle group.
When working out with just Isolation exercises (one muscle group), you really are limiting the fat burning potential of your body.

Incorporate compound movements (more than one muscle group) and see your weight loss sky-rocket.

2. Pair-up exercises.

Again, focussing on the biggest bank for your buck, you want to ideally keep moving during the whole of your workout (rather than sit down and have a chat).

To achieve this you can pair exercises up into lower body movements and upper body movements.
This then allows whichever muscle groups you aren't working to have a rest and recover.

Not only will this be more effective for your fat burning goals, your workout will be considerably shorter.

3. Aim for 8-12 reps

Another mistake the mums I work with make is to only focus on really low weights and high repetitions.

This is counterproductive. Sure, low weight, high reps has its place, but if you're looking to burn fat, this is a pointless approach to take.
The 8-12 rep range has been proven through research to be the best range for building lean muscle which in-turn burns the most amount of calories.

4. Perform total body workouts.

All muscles work together in pairs.

You therefore need to drop the belief that muscles work independently of each other.
Each opposing muscle group should be trained that way.
For example, if you work out using your triceps, you should also work out your biceps to prevent any muscular imbalances.

5. Cardio is not the cure-all for fat loss.

The biggest mistake mums make is believing that spending hours doing cardio will burn fat. Yes, sure, you will burn some fat but you're a busy mum - you want the best exercises that are the safest, most effective, and time friendly.

Strength training, in particular resistance training, increases the amount of calories your body burns as you add lean muscle mass.

If you incorporate these tips into your workouts, not only will you save time, but you'll also soon see a leaner and more toned body.

Vísi Probíta is not just any protein, its source is Hydrolyzed Collagen, the most absorbable and natural form of protein found in the human body, thus making it optimal for assimilation.

Hydrolyzed Collagen has the highest Net Protein Utilization (NPU), which measures how much protein is actually utilized by the body.

It has a higher NPU than whey, soy, or other popular protein forms. Hydrolyzed means this protein is pre-digested using natural fruit enzymes so that even individuals suffering from digestive conditions can absorb it.

All other forms of protein are not pre-digested and allow only partial absorption.

For these reasons, Probita is great for people of all ages and provides just what you're looking for when it comes to superior-quality protein.

Fasting for Weight Loss, a Good or a Bad Thing?

Fasting has been practiced many years for various reasons, mostly for religious causes and others for weight loss issues.

You will find many articles and sites promising you that fasting is something beneficial to your body when it comes to weight loss and it's true.

Fasting makes you lose weight within a short amount of time but the consequences of fasting can be harmful and in some cases devastating if it is practiced for too long.
You've probably heard of cases where people shed 30 pound of fat within a month or so.
But what happens next? After a certain period of time they gain back all the weight and all the fat they had lost.
Things get even worse than before they had started fasting.
Your cravings increase because you've restricted your body from so many essential nutrients.
Therefore, you will eventually eat more and you will gain back all the weight you had lost.
What Does Fasting Consist of?
The typical weight loss plan consists of drinking only water, juice and in some cases consuming laxatives which is really not a good idea if it's combined with fasting.
By fasting you're already restricting your body from all the nutrients and energy your body needs and the purging will just make you weak.
Although, some plans do allow to consume some solid foods but with very few calories.
Are all Fasts dangerous?
Not all fasts are dangerous. If you're a healthy adult and practice religious fasting for a day or so, there is very little chance that it can be dangerous and a risk for your health.
Religious fasting will not promote weight loss since it's done for a very little time.
If you're a pregnant woman, a child, an older person, or someone with some type of disease or condition, it is not recommended to practice these kind of fasts.
Keep in mind that if a fast is instructed by a physician, it is perfectly safe to follow the fast as long as you're being supervised and follow the instructions.
The real danger of fasting comes when you fast for more than 3 days. The dangers of fasting are many and they range from health problems to a wide variety of illnesses.
Some of these include:
  • weakness
  • renal failure
  • electrolyte imbalances
  • hair thinning
  • anorexia nervosa
  • cardiac arrhythmias
...among many others.
You also burn calories more slowly when you're fasting since fasting slow the metabolism.
If you want to lose weight the thing that you DO NOT want to do is slow your metabolism.
Your metabolism plays the key role in your weight and fat loss process.
The initial weight lost on a fast is just pure body fluid and not fat.
Don't get fooled.
If you really want to lose weight fast and quickly there are other much effective ways of losing weight.
